Information the developer collects
The developer does not collect personal information through Crimson Plate. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, cross-app tracking, or third-party tracking SDKs.
Information stored on your device
Your logged food items, dates, estimated nutrition values, daily targets, dining preference, and other app settings are stored locally on your device. This information is used only to provide the app’s meal log, totals, history, preferences, and exports. It is not transmitted to the developer.
Dining-menu requests
Crimson Plate requests publicly available dining-menu pages over HTTPS so it can display current items and nutrition information. The app does not include your locally stored food log or a personal account identifier in those requests. As with ordinary web traffic, the operator of a requested website may receive technical information such as your IP address and may process it under its own privacy practices.
Restaurant information and external links
Nearby restaurant nutrition entries are supplied from published nutrition information and app-maintained estimates. When you choose a source link, your device opens the destination outside Crimson Plate. The destination website’s privacy policy applies to that visit.
PDF exports and sharing
A weekly report is generated locally on your device. Crimson Plate does not automatically upload it. The report leaves the app only if you choose to save or share it using Apple’s system share controls, in which case the privacy practices of your chosen destination apply.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until you delete entries or delete the app. You can remove logged entries from within Crimson Plate. Deleting the app removes its remaining locally stored information from that device, subject to the normal behavior of device backups managed by you or your platform provider.
Children
Crimson Plate is intended for college students and is not directed to children under 13. Because the developer does not collect personal information through the app, the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Nutrition and allergy notice
Nutrition, portion, ingredient, and allergen information may be incomplete, estimated, or changed by a food provider. Crimson Plate is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice. Confirm dietary and allergy information directly with the dining hall or restaurant.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an update is published.
