Getting started

• Record a meeting — tap the big Record button on the home screen. Debrief transcribes live, on your device. Tap markers (Decision / Action / Question / Important) as you go.
• Review & save — when you stop, fix any names, set a title, then tap Create notes & tasks.
• Paste a transcript — already have one from Zoom or Krisp? Tap Paste transcript and get the same debrief.

FAQ

Do I need an account?

No. Debrief has no login and works fully offline. Nothing is required to use it.

Where is my data stored?

Everything stays on your device. Transcription uses Apple's on-device speech recognition, and your notes, decisions, and action items are generated on your device — nothing is uploaded or sent to any AI service.

Why does it ask for the microphone / speech recognition?

Only to record and transcribe a meeting when you choose to record. Notifications are optional and only requested if you turn on Meeting reminders in Settings.

Is recording legal?

Recording laws vary by location. Please make sure everyone present consents to being recorded.

How do I export or delete my data?

Settings ▸ Data lets you export everything to JSON, reset to sample data, or delete all data.
